Terms of Service
Last updated 2026-09-05.
TodoZen is a product of Aperca LLC. These terms are between you and Aperca LLC, the company that provides and operates the service.
The service
TodoZen is a private daily workspace for task capture, Today work, goals, habits and journaling, with a web app, REST API, MCP endpoint, installable PWA and browser extension. It includes personal workspaces, optional shared workspaces, explicit record sharing, notifications and data export/import. The service operates as a thin client over live server data; offline fallback access is provided for cached public shell assets, while data updates require an active internet connection. The service is provided as-is and may change as the product develops.
Your account
You are responsible for the information you provide and for protecting your password, sessions, API keys, calendar-feed URLs and connected browser profiles. Every API key issued by the current service has read and write access. Review and revoke credentials you no longer use, and email support@apercallc.com if you believe an account has been compromised.
Your content and permissions
You retain ownership of what you create. You give TodoZen the limited permission needed to store, process, display, back up and deliver that content as part of the service. This includes showing content to members of a shared workspace or recipients of a record grant when you choose those features.
Do not share content you lack the right to share. A recipient may retain information they saw or copied before access was revoked; revocation stops future access through TodoZen but cannot erase a copy outside the service.
Shared workspaces
A shared-workspace owner controls membership and is responsible for invitations. Members can work with that workspace's tasks, goals and habits. Personal journals do not exist in shared workspaces. Deleting an account also deletes every workspace that account owns, including content other members placed there, so export anything that must be kept before deletion.
API, MCP, extension and location features
Automated and third-party clients are subject to these terms and the documented API limits. Keep credentials out of source control, do not bypass rate limits or security controls, and revoke access when a client or device is no longer trusted. You are responsible for actions performed with credentials issued to your account. When location suggestions are enabled, place search queries are resolved via public geocoding without tracking device location.
Acceptable use
Do not use TodoZen to store or transmit unlawful content, violate another person's rights, probe whether an email address has an account, access a workspace or record without permission, distribute malware, overload the service, or interfere with its normal operation.
Availability, offline operation and data safety
TodoZen is a private productivity service. Uptime, uninterrupted access, and error-free operation are not guaranteed. While offline, previously fetched public shell pages and offline screens remain viewable, but changes and new entries cannot be written or synced until network connectivity is restored. Backups and restore drills reduce risk but cannot eliminate it. Use the workspace export for any data you cannot afford to lose, and remember that the export excludes credentials, memberships, sharing grants, notifications and assignments.
Suspension and termination
You may delete your account at any time from Settings. Deletion is immediate for live database data and has no self-service recovery window. We may suspend or terminate access that violates these terms, threatens the service or other users, or is required by law.
Warranty and liability
To the extent permitted by law, TodoZen is provided without warranties of any kind. The service is not a substitute for a guaranteed records system, emergency service, medical advice, financial advice or legal advice. Use it at your own risk.
Changes
These terms may be updated as the product changes. Material changes will update the date at the top of this page. Continued use after an update means the revised terms apply to later use of the service.
